Frequently Asked Questions

General answers about the law office, tax resolution services, consultation requests, privacy, and legal limitations.

General information only. These answers do not determine your rights, eligibility, deadline, or best option.
Is this law office part of the IRS or New Jersey government?

No. It is a private law office and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the IRS, the New Jersey Division of Taxation, or another government agency.

Does the website guarantee that my debt will be reduced?

No. The website does not guarantee eligibility, acceptance, a particular reduction, a collection hold, or a completion date.

What should I have available when I call?

Have the complete notice, envelope, notice number, tax periods, amount shown, deadline, and a brief filing and payment history.

Does submitting the form create an attorney-client relationship?

No. Representation begins only after conflicts and scope are reviewed and a written engagement agreement is signed.

Can I send my Social Security number or tax return through the form?

No. Do not send Social Security numbers, dates of birth, bank account numbers, complete tax returns, login credentials, or other sensitive documents.

Can anyone qualify for an IRS offer in compromise?

No. The IRS applies eligibility, compliance, financial, documentation, and payment requirements.

Is an installment agreement a settlement?

No. It generally pays an accepted balance over time. Interest and applicable penalties may continue.

What is the difference between a tax lien and a tax levy?

A lien is a legal claim against property that secures payment. A levy is a legal seizure of property to satisfy a tax debt.

Will a phone call stop a bank or wage levy?

Not by itself. A collection hold or levy release requires an applicable procedure and agency action.

Can penalties be removed?

Some penalties may qualify for administrative relief, reasonable-cause relief, statutory exceptions, correction, or appeal. Relief is not automatic.

What if I have not filed for several years?

The required years, records, substitute-return status, refund deadlines, and current collection posture should be reviewed.

Can the office help with both IRS and New Jersey debt?

The firm assists with federal and New Jersey tax matters, but each agency uses different forms, procedures, and standards.

Are consultations free?

This website does not promise a free consultation. Contact the office to ask about availability, scope, and any fee.

How are legal fees determined?

Fees depend on the matter, scope, urgency, records, procedural posture, and anticipated work. Fees are stated in a written engagement agreement.

Does the firm publish testimonials or settlement numbers?

This website intentionally avoids unverified testimonials, success percentages, and dramatic settlement claims.

What if a notice deadline is today?

Call the office and state the notice number and deadline. A contact attempt does not itself preserve rights or stop collection.

Can I visit without an appointment?

Please call before visiting. Office access and consultation availability should be confirmed in advance.

Do analytics or ads receive my tax documents?

The form is designed not to request documents. No Microsoft UET or other advertising ID is preconfigured in this package.

Discuss the notice, deadline, or collection issue you are facing.

A consultation request does not create an attorney-client relationship. Do not send Social Security numbers, bank information, tax returns, or other confidential documents through the website form.
