Fees and Engagement

How consultation, scope, fees, responsibilities, and the attorney-client relationship are addressed.

Last updated: August 5, 2026

No online purchase or automatic enrollment

This website does not sell a fixed tax-relief package, process credit-card payments, enroll visitors in a subscription, or charge a fee for submitting the contact form. A website inquiry is only a request for the office to review whether a consultation may be appropriate.

Consultation availability and fees

The website does not promise a free consultation. Availability, format, duration, and any consultation fee should be confirmed with the office before an appointment. Emergency, same-day, and deadline-specific availability cannot be guaranteed.

Written engagement agreement

No attorney-client relationship exists unless the attorney and prospective client sign a written engagement agreement. The agreement identifies the client, scope of services, fee structure, payment terms, responsibilities, document procedures, and other material conditions.

Scope matters

A limited engagement may address a particular notice, tax period, agency, or submission. It does not automatically include return preparation, bookkeeping, audit representation, litigation, bankruptcy, criminal defense, state matters, appeals, or work outside the stated scope.

Fees depend on the matter

Legal fees may depend on the nature and complexity of the issue, number of tax periods, condition of records, urgency, collection posture, financial analysis, required submissions, communications, hearings, and other anticipated work.

Government charges and third-party costs

Government application fees, required offer payments, transcript costs, filing fees, accounting services, appraisal fees, courier expenses, and other third-party costs are separate from legal fees unless the engagement agreement expressly states otherwise.

Refunds and unused retainers

Because the website does not take payments, there is no website-product refund policy. Any treatment of advance fees, earned fees, costs, or unused funds is governed by the engagement agreement and applicable professional-responsibility rules.

No result-based promise

Legal fees pay for agreed professional services, not for a guaranteed settlement, penalty removal, levy release, lien withdrawal, payment amount, or completion date.

Discuss the notice, deadline, or collection issue you are facing.

A consultation request does not create an attorney-client relationship. Do not send Social Security numbers, bank information, tax returns, or other confidential documents through the website form.
